Since they have redesigned the airport, it is quite difficult to spot in BRN. The main spotting points are next to the terminal. From there you can take pictures of the parking stands and the runway, but its all through a fence.
An other point is the old tower. There is a small bistro inside and you have a good overview of the airport. (Note: They don't like it, if there are big groups around the bistro.) The old tower is located next to the terminal too. It is open the whole day, except, if a group has hired the bistro.

There is a fence around the airport and because of that, you have to search the right position. You can take good pictures in the approach on both sides of the airport. There is also a small place, called Cafe Charlie, in the middle of the airport. From there you have the opportunity to take pictures of some aircraft on the privat stands.

At the moment (May 20006) there are the following destinations:
Munich Team Lufthansa (opb. Augsburg Airways) Dash 8Q300,
London city Darwin Saab 2000,
Lugano Darwin Saab 2000.

During the summer month there are charterflights to Sardinia, Korsika, Ibiza and Mallorca. They were operated by Darwin with Saab 2000, Skywork with Dornier Do328-100 and Swiss with an Avro RJ100.

In winter there are a lot of british skicharters, operated by Flybe and Titan.

There is also a REGA (the swiss air ambulance) base, with a Eurocopter EC145 and the Heliswiss mainbase. The Heliswiss fleet consists of Bell 206, Aerospatiale Lama and Ecureuil and two Kamov Ka32.

There are a lot of businessjets. Often you see some covernment aircrafts or charters. From time to time there are some Do328,(especially from ScotAirways and AirAlps) visitnig the maintenance facillitis from ASB-Ruag.

==Facilities and Transportation==

The airport can be reached by bus or car. From Berne you have to take the S3 (direction Thun) and take in Belp the Tangento Bus to the airport.

By car you can either come on the motorway (From Berne: following Thun and then leave at Belp/Rubigen) or on the mainstreet, following the signs. There are a lot of parking places, the short stay parking (15mins) is free, for the others you have to pay.
