Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is the main airport serving the Louisville area in northern Kentucky. Official Spotting Locations
Cell Phone Lot
The new lot is open at Crittenden Drive at I-264 Watterson Expressway across from the USPS sort facility on the northwest side. It is directly under the approach for 17R. This is an officially recognized location
Other Spotting Locations
Republic Airways
The airfield perimeter fence at the Republic Airways hangar on Crittenden Drive is open for spotters. It offers an excellent view of runway 17R/35L as well as the west side of the Worldport facilities. Airfield ops may pull up to check on you, but spotting is permitted here.
Shuttle Lot (Old cell lot)
This lot is located at the end of Administration Drive on the northeast side and was formerly the old cell phone lot. It offers a good view on aircraft arriving on 17L and departing 35R. It is free for the first 2 hours.
Locations to Avoid
Avoid the UPS employee lots on the southeast corner of the airport. This is UPS property.
Anywhere that is UPS property is usually off-limits.
